Celebrate the Season!

It is a White Christmas in Colorado! With excellent December snows and a diverse line up of holiday festivities, the snowy mountains are the perfect backdrop to a family vacation. Save some time and energy for after the slope fun. Check out some ways to celebrate!

In Beaver Creek, the Golden Dragon Acrobats are at the Vilar Performing Arts Center on December 26-27. While not exactly traditional holiday fare, this is quite an amazing group. They are followed by the ever popular Beach Boys on December 28-29. Also, Beaver Creek’s WinterFest is going on around the Village, with parades, contests, skating, and of course, cookies!

In Aspen, Colorado there are the “12 Days of Aspen.” This includes special daily film screenings from the Aspen Film Academy, workshops at Aspen Art Museum, specialty drinks as part of the ’12 days of Apres’, and carolers.

Santa delivers 12 inches of snow in 24 hours to Breckenridge and they are celebrating on the slopes! Watch it!

At nearby Keystone Resort, The Keystone Lodge has a Chocolate Village. Stop in to check out this impressively delicious homemade creation. It’s 7,000 pounds of chocolate, crafted into a miniature alpine village. See if you can find the chocolate gondola(it works!)and the cascading chocolate waterfall.

In Vail, admire the stunning light displays as you stroll over the bridge and through the Village. It is enchanting. Be sure to look for a snowman there, along with it’s creators! And, there is plenty of snow to build friends for this one!
