4th of July Celebrations in the Colorado Mountains

Independence Day in Colorado’s Rockies is incredible for family celebrations within the resorts and Epic Mountain Express can get you and the family there! Below are things to do in Colorado for the 4th of July.

Beaver Creek is providing fun for the entire family from noon through night. Free slides, bouncy houses, games, crafts and face painting will keep the kids entertained while live music is played till the sun sets and the fireworks light up the sky! On July 3rd, The Town of Avon’s Salute to the USA features music by Hazel Miller Band and Ziggy Marley, festival food of all types, and of course, one of the largest fireworks displays in Colorado.

Breckenridge is hosting events around the town. Kick off the day in Breck by competing in a scenic 10k trail run or lead the Main Street Parade by riding in the Firecracker 50 Mountain Bike Race. Afterwards enjoy the parade, stroll around the 36th Annual Breckenridge July Art Festival or enjoy the chalk art contest, beer garden or pie eating contest in the Arts District. Bring the family over to Blue River Plaza for the family fun zone for a water party, drum circle and free pony rides. End the day with a patriotic concert in the Riverwalk Center put on by the National Repertory Orchestra Concert.

Vail America Days begins with a parade in the morning that begins in Vail Village and will wind its way through the village ending in Lionshead. This years’ theme is A Tribute to the 10th Mountain Division, and honors t those who helped to protect our nation. Watch Vail’s fireworks at dusk in Golden Peak.

In Aspen, start the day honoring the nation’s birthday in style with a traditional 4th of July Parade in town. The celebration continues into the evening with complimentary lawn games, sweet treats, and other fun for the family. Head up to Snowmass for a free concert featuring “Here Come The Mummies.”

Stars and Guitars is Keystone’s Independence Day celebration, where you’ll enjoy four packed days of free live music, food and family fun. Independence Day kicks off with a bike parade in River Run Village, and the following days will be filled with beach bubble parties, fishing, face painting, BBQ and of course live music.

If you are flying into Denver International Airport to celebrate Independence Day in the mountains, you can relax, and leave the driving to Epic Mountain Express. Scheduled shared shuttles can deliver you to Breckenridge, Keystone, Vail, Beaver Creek, Aspen and Snowmass or take a private vehicle with Premier Mountain Express. Remember, airport shuttle prices have just been lowered, so consider leaving a car behind to fully enjoy Independence Day.
