Independence Day in Colorado’s Rockies is incredible for family celebrations at the resorts and Epic Mountain Express can get you and the family there! Below are things to do in Colorado for the 4th of July. Even without fireworks to light up the sky, you’ll find plenty to get a bang out of!

Beaver Creek is providing fun for the entire family from noon through evening hours on Monday, July 4th. Free slides, bouncy houses, games, crafts and face painting will keep the kids entertained while live music is played past sunset and the fireworks light up the sky! On Sunday, July 3rd, The Town of Avon’s Salute to the USA features music by Galactic, with opener show Cory Wong. Gates open at 5:00pm, with food of all types, and of course, a laser light show that lights up all of Avon, Colorado.

Breckenridge is hosting events around the town, with most action in the downtown area. Kick off the 4th of July in Breck by competing in a scenic 10k trail run at 7:00am or ride in the Firecracker 50 Mountain Bike Race. Afterwards enjoy the Main Street Parade, and stroll around Downtown Breckenridge for the Surfin’ USA event, that includes activities from a chalk art contest, dog fashion show and lip synch battle. End Independence Day in Breck with a patriotic concert in the Riverwalk Center, put on by the National Repertory Orchestra Concert.

Vail America Days begins with a parade on Monday morning, July 4, 2022, that begins in Vail Village at 10:00am, and winds its way through the the Vail, ending in Lionshead Village. This years’ theme is Red, White and Blues. Following the parade, head to the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater to watch the annual patriotic concert, co-hosted by the Vail Valley Foundation and Bravo!Vail Music Festival. New in 2022, there is a Drone Show, starting at 10:00pm, weather permitting.

Stars and Guitars is Keystone’s Independence Day celebration, where you’ll enjoy a packed day of free live music, food and family fun. This festival is on Saturday, July 2, 10:00am - 5:00pm. Stars and Guitars features the Salida Circus, free kids’ workshop area, face painting, and of course live music.

If you are flying into Denver International Airport to celebrate Independence Day in the mountains, you can relax, and leave the driving to Epic Mountain Express. Scheduled shared shuttles can deliver you to Breckenridge, Keystone, Vail, and Beaver Creek or take a private vehicle with Premier Mountain Express. Remember, airport shuttle seats are limited, so book early and consider leaving a car behind to fully enjoy Independence Day.
