RETURN OF LA NINA

Colorado skiers and snowboarders might get lucky this 2022-23 ski season with above-average snowfall. This is based on one of the key climate factors meteorologists monitor to predict snowfall…the cool surface temperatures in the Pacific Ocean. This phenomenon, known as La Nina, usually means good to great snow for the Colorado Rockies. The last time there was a La Nina was in 2010, when Colorado ski resorts saw above average snowfall.
