Celebrate Ullr (pronounced “Oool-er”) in Breck at Ullr Fest, starting on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. This is your chance to honor and thank Ullr for his gift of snow, adorn a Viking hat and partake in a party that is Ullr Fest! The Breckenridge festivities begin the evening of Wednesday, January 9 and run through Saturday, January 12. Kicking off the event is the crowning of the Ullr King and Queen. The true highlight of the Ullr Fest is the Ullr Fest Parade and Bonfire on Thursday night. Come early and dress warmly!

A Round up of Pond Skimming Events includes Keystone’s Slush Cup on Sunday April 9 at the Mountain House Base Area, Aspen’s 9th Annual Schneetag at the Merry Go Round, Cooper Mountain’s Red Bull SlopeSoakers - and of course, Vail’s infamous15th Annual World Pond Skimming Championships at Golden Peak beginning at 3 pm. The most traditional take of the bunch in getting across the pond but is known to have some of the most entertaining costumes! The Breck Plunge on Sunday April 23 and is a new event to Breckenridge
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the mountains of Colorado, including Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper, Aspen and Snowmass.
Beginning this December, United Airlines will fly non-stop between its hub at Washington/Dulles (IAD) and Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE), the closest airport to Vail and Beaver Creek. American Airlines will also begin flying to EGE from Phoenix’s Sky Harbor Airport. United Airline’s flights from Washington/Dulles begin on Saturday, Dec. 24 and end April 1, 2017. American Airlines will operate the Phoenix-Vail route daily between December 15, 2016- January 8, 2017 and then twice a week through April 2, 2016.
